love that house; that level of wealth, where you can afford to be open hearted.
for me, it starts to suck when locks and surveillance appear around homes.

59 F at the stankerosa!

great reporting, Prez.

We few into La Paz, Bolivia, late yesterday aftenoon, huge mountainous landscape, city is in a series of canyons, major system of teleféricos for mass transit (bottom picture). About 12,000 foot altitude/3650 meters. Really wild-looking city.

Walked a bit around La Paz today, highest city in the world with a population of over a million. Everywhere are many many Bolivian indigenous/mixed women (cholas) in their traditional wide layered skirts and little bowler hats perched on their heads. Really vibrant place, entertaining as hell.

Had to check out Plaza Murillo where the near coup unfolded just under a month ago. Group of indigenous in full regalia from a municipio in southern Bolivia was eating ice cream and getting on the news before heading out.

Here's the deal: we get an old bus and customize it, then we do a Recogitaire road trip with Pres and FL as our guides.

sounds good.
Maybe sell the bus at the bottom and sail home?

I like this idea better and better. Wind would be with us until the equatorial area, then it turns around and is right on the nose, but it can be dealt with. :)
