I only meant that it reminded me of Spanish architecture.

And FYI I study historical swordsmanship with historically accurate weapons. One of my focuses has been the Destreza of Thibault and Narvaez - ie, Spanish rapier.

I got this pic on Isla del Sol/Lake Titicaca. Great hats, the angle at which they sit on one's head can tend to indicate the wearer's marital status. I don't think these bowlers come cheap. Was a big ceremony, village authorities overseeing all the formalities that initiate the local growing season.

Amazing that they took to it like they did.
Quirky story; hats are needed.
Are you and FL wearing them?

Back in La Paz for a few days before heading to Argentina. Now a couple km from Plaza Murillo, going to walk that direction today to check it out. But not too close to any trouble...

Folks on Plaza Murillo subdued today. A vendor told me things had been terrible there yesterday.

Probably why all the pigeons were starving today, FL was happy to oblige.

Isn't she going to cook them first?

What an odd sight La Paz is from the air. Improbable location. Is water readily available? Up hill?

Well, I hope you're enjoying the journey as much as we are.
Argentina, here we come.

Bolivia is so very likeable, hard to leave. But we've got 10-year visas. Now in Mendoza, Argentina, for three nights.

Argentine accent very different from the clear indigenous Boliviano Spanish, sing-song Italian like here.
