sparks wrote: Tue Aug 20, 2024 5:40 pm I was under the impession that they had given he/she/it a blood test and that's how the intersex business with the XY chromo was determined.

True or false? If false, responsible persons should ban he/she/it until such time as the test is done and the results come back negative for the XY shit.

True or false? We don't know. The body that claimed to have done so - the IBA - is one of the most corrupt sporting bodies on the planet, headed up by a Russian evangelical Christian - Umar Kremlev, an obvious transphobe and homophobe.
See: ad hominemn.

And, once again, what you are suggesting is that this transphobe falsifified a woman's records to make it appear as if that woman were a man and/or transgender.. Why would a transphobe, or a Christian, or any similar ad hominem that you could cite, do that? If Imane were just a plain old woman, an ordinary woman, An XX woman with normal testosterone, why would a transphobe create a controversy? It's totally illiogical.

But......the IBA didn't conduct the test. They hired a lab to conduct the test. The lab report was provided to Imane and her coach, who did not dispute the findings, and still have not disputed the findings, and have said that Imane has an abnormal karyotype and abnormal hormones for a woman.

Is it conceivable there is any other explanation for those facts, which have been confirmed by her coach, other than she is XY?

Admin is being completely reasonable to say that he is certain that Imane is intersex, with no ovaries and internal testes.

For my part, I'll stop one step short of that. Instead of saying I'm certain, I'll say I am extremely confident. There is a hypothetical possibility for another explanation, but which would still leave her with an advantage that no ordinary female would have a hope of countering. The most probable expanation, though, is that she has testes, which means she is a biological male.
They won't release the results of the alleged testing, and they won't even say what kind or kinds of tests they gave her.
They won't release them publicly. They did release them to Imane and her team, who had, and still have, the option to release them. Or they could conduct tests themselves to refute the statements of that evil transphobe. But they haven't.
Oh, did you hear? Khalif is suing JK Rowling and Elon Musk. JK hasn't been seen on Xitter since the suit was filed.
And? I'm sure you must have a point for bringing that up, but I don't know what it is.

is misogyny always male to female abuse?
seems it should be more complicated with the new woke-nitude.

being around people that live to be offended is a drag.
i can't walk on eggshells anymore, so when i see them being layed out in front of me, i'm forced to be offensive instead. If they change their name 3 times, i stop calling them anything. weddings too. i won't go to third one.
The trans relative (mary's) that stayed with us a few days ago, claiming female, seemed like the same person i knew before, except, more liberated. I saw it as the liberty one gets with a costume or disguise. his personality was better. freer, more confident. i didn't ask about the dick. wanted to. seems fair. probably would have been fine.
(i pussied-out, no offence.)

One thing that I will bring up again is that this thread is about misleading headlines. The first one I quoted promised to tell us "the science". A later one promised that science would put the controversy to rest. For the second article, it obviously didn't do that, especially in the way the author wanted to. To be fair to the first, it had a lot of science in it, but as I noted, it also pretended that we really didn't know enough to say much about the situation.

Yes, we do. We really do. We know enough to make important judgements aobut the boxers' anatomy, physiology, and hormone levels, and how that affects their boxing abilities.

But the question about whether or not they should be allowed to box against women isn't a scientific question. The people forming opinions, and especially those making the rules, should use science to inform their decision, but in the end, it's a value judgement. It just saddens me that so many completely disregard the science that doesn't support their preconceived opinions.

That anyone who opposes allowing someone to box in the women's division if that someone has advantages that are a result of testosterone is doing so out of hatred or bigotry. Sometimes, that preconceived notion goes so far as to prevent people from objectively assessing the available evidence to make a judement about the source of the advantage.

Or, in a nutshell, the available evidence is that Imane Khelif's muscles are a result of having testes, but that will be denied by a lot of people.

gets me wondering:

Suppose a wrestler had a parasitic twin; legs emerging from mid waist, and able to kick. Pretty hard.
Now i don't know if a parasitic twin can be beefed-up with forced exercise. Don't know if the owner can effect the p. twin enough to give an advantage in any sport. Hard to find much literature about it.

The available evidence is that we don't know. There is an claim that she has a DSD, but there is no evidence of that.

I think you are confusing "evidence" and "proof".

There's no proof. (For us. She and her team have proof, one way or the other, but they haven't shared it.)

they could be destroying the evidence.

sexual ambiguity in babies is fairly common. i'd heard as high as 1/100 back when i worked grunt detail at hospital.
can't back that up. the dr. generally chooses the easy path forward, assuming the parents were ignorant of this, pre birth. kid later on may harken to a deeper identity that's out of whack with the 'assignment'.

but said person may also discover their homosexual self.
it's the sexless and glad gang that's hardest to fit. just not in the game. big advantages in it, if one isn't forced to cover for it.Like have a wife. Or husband.

i was friends with a bunch of bull dykes; most have died. they were female, but could grow a beard and beat the shit out of you. But they wouldn't have competed with men well. and they dominate the fems in any weight sports. or field hockey, for that matter. butch is another word. queer tossed in.

but now there's more?
and how to know what happened after the doctor saw the issue, if there was one.

she should be paid good money to go away and drop sports.

not sure
