Yes, it wasn't given much mileage in America because the overwhelming desire in most government circles is to blame China.
I'll gladly jump on China for the things they do, and there are enough of those not to make more up.

And the faction that didn't want to blame China wanted to blame anyone who blamed China, especially Trump.
Which left very little room for people who just wanted to spread accurate information.
It doesn't matter who the hell is to blame. What we really ought to be doing, us and China, is figuring out how to stop this nonsense and get on with making tv sets and smart phones. Weak as that goal is.

"Republican arrested in Michigan: Everything we know."
Now, to be fair, this doesn't quite fit the pattern, because it could be a perectly intelligent article, but with a stupid title.
There are 8 million people in this state. I suspect that there has been more than one Republican arrested today. Presumably, there has been a crime of some sort that is in some way election or politics related, so that the party affiliation of the suspect could be relevant. However, as a stand alone headline, it's pretty stupid.
ETA: It was a Republican state legislator, and the arrest involved reported gunshots at a residential address.
the propaganda machine has both guys ahead in the polls, depending on which flavor one consumes.
both will start a nuclear war if elected.
jfk jr doesn't exist, evidently.
this is embarrassing.
maybe if we all waved flags at the same time, it wouldn't be so hot.

Much as I'd love you to be right, you won't be. Neither of them will start any wars, far less nuclear ones.

Nobody's going to vote for him so he doesn't deserve equal time for guys with a chance of winning, no matter how feeble they are, or maybe you think Kanye should be up there as well.
