It wouldn't have. It knows you're there and will avoid you if possible.
If you're not on edge, you're taking up too much space.

That would explain why it pulled into Denny’s, it must have known I would never eat there.

In 2016, a 23-year-old man died in the Lower Geyser Basin after leaving the boardwalk, and authorities deemed it too unsafe to recover his body, which dissolved almost completely by the next day.
