My sister and her husband live in Oshkosh, WI. It was the windup for the big EAA airshow there this weekend.
Also the family memorial for my 37 year old nephew who offed himself end of this past January. It was like the Korean War, Vietnam, and WW II all going on at the same time overhead at the cemetary. Got quieter towards the end of the ceremony after a helicopter and a smaller rig had a mid-air collision, everything shut down at the airfield for a while.

When the motor quits and you choose to sacrifice your aircraft to the water rather than land on the beach and possibly injure someone.

I imagine living there is akin to living in Sturgis during Bike Week.

Condolences on your nephew.
Thanks.
Used to love all that air force stuff when I was younger, recognized some of the things zooming over... B-25s like Doolittle flew over Tokyo in WWII, Korean War Sabre jets, forget what else.
Excellent picture of my brother at the EAA years ago...

Jesus! That's either unlucky or lucky, since it didn't do much damage.
