Re: Mad, Bad, and Sad: Global
Gosh, Di...and here I thought you were already wallowing in the dark side by apologizing for the new capitalism, as though it's all the same old show. Not really. There's been a systematic unraveling of various protections we had for preventing the sort of wealth migration that has taken place recen...

Re: Mad, Bad, and Sad: Global
I'd say we're going backwards, in regard to the health of the bio-sphere. And ultimately, that's what will matter most. Small gains are almost p.r. stunts...entertainment, while the old school runs roughshod over the planet, for the same old reasons, burning the same old fuel. EV's is a fine example...

Re: AI
John Lily visited with the silicon based life forms whilst tripping in the deprivation tank, which was his invention. Anyway, as i recall, they wanted to get rid of the oxygen in the atmosphere. They didn't breathe, but they did corrode. So, yeah. O2 bad. And rain. They need us to complete the infra...

Re: Life's better moments.
sunflower butter is damn good. earthy, with tones of tree nuts and whiskey. i make a paste with ground pistachios and pumpkin seeds and a galoop of maple surple. Mary has alpha-gal too, so we've bailed on dairy. Been eating some nuts. ground cashews with date syrup is a good start, adding coconut is...

not here. not much anyway. americans gotta have their car time. that's where they sing and play music their spouse hates. We're an uptight breed, white americans. You don't hear people singing in america like you would in rural Africa. Some dudes don't have the balls to sing in their own shower, muc...

Bull sharks, btw, have been spotted as far as 700 miles up the Mississippi river. Interactions with humans in fresh water are evidently very rare.

Re: AI
Funny that we fear AI taking over...like it will become so advanced, it will outsmart us for some reason. That's nothing, turns out we were easily taken over by cars even before cars were smart. from a slightly askew perspective, it looks like we've already become slaves to our machines. The aliens ...

Re: Aussie v NZ
What's being ignored is use. Energy use. The greatest source of clean fuel, by far, is to be had in rethinking our use of it and re-fitting society to allow a new modernity. As i've claimed for decades, we could do better on a tenth the power that we use now. But this would require some serious rest...
