I'm picking that lovely critter on the right is a representation of Dean Koontz's monster from Watchers. Looks exactly how he described it.

Yeah, Disney is great at sanitising stories. The Little Mermaid isn't a kids' story, and Quasimodo isn't a cute hunchback who lives happily ever after.
