That should be our national motto.

If Recogitare had a language award, I would nominate that.

This latest shooting was barely a blip anyway.

We in the rest of the world hear news of a shooting in America and our reaction is "huh, must be Tuesday".

It sounds awful to say that, but there it is.

Some people attract bad luck.

A chick I was rooting a thousand years or so ago was a bank officer, but gave the job up after she was subjected to an armed robbery.

She went to work for a jeweller, and three months after she started, they had an armed robbery...

Yeah I saw that. Seriously bad luck to get into that situation twice. I hope she's getting some good counselling.

In America, guns are an important part of our economic well being. They are the gift that keeps on giving. It's not just the guns and ammo, it's also the protection from them (or the illusion of protection) that is worth billions. The recently amped-up movement to make our shitty schools safe is a multi-billion dollar industry.

You'll never lose money buying S&W or Boeing shares.

I wonder what percentage of 401s invest in them?

"Non life threatening injuries"?

One of the.victims is 5 years old. His injuries at that age should be scrapes and bumps from the playground, not fucking bullets.

6000+ Americans have died of gun shot wounds just in 2023. The vast majority never make the news.
