Unless this is some kind of joke, the real fun now begins.

And Trump....is Trump.

"Former President Donald Trump reacted to President Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 race by telling NBC News that Biden “is the worst president in the history of the United States by far.”"

Just a few short years ago I would have thought a candidate who shows so little grace in this circumstance would turn off voters, but it's a new world where the old rules do not apply.

But.....with Biden dropping out, at least some people will also start noting that Trump is too old for the job, and the media can focus on his age-related issues without fear of harming Biden.

When has Trump ever show any class, grace or taste? When he gets re-elected he's going to start taking shots at everyone who's in the way of his little ego-maniacal agenda to be Kim Jong Mango.

He's fucking dangerous and if that dumb assed kid hadn't missed, the World would be a lot safer.

But it seems Sky Daddy loves a good joke. Explain that one good Chreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeestians.

I am hoping that during the next debate, Kamala constantly refers to Trump as "The Defendant".

Agreed.

But as an old man looking backward on what was then and what is now, I wonder what went wrong that we could end up with a guy like Trump as President, possibly twice.

That would be good. But aren't there some hoops that have to be jumped through yet before she's on the hot seat?

Sure, but it seems almost guaranteed that she will be the nominee.

The delegates still pick the nominee, and with Joe Biden out, they can vote for whomever they please. But they were all pledged to Joe Biden. With Biden endorsing Harris, it seems almost impossible that 51% of the delegates would vote for anyone except Harris, assuming nothing truly weird happens between now and the vote.

Harris will be relentlessly mocked by Right media. Left, too, come to think of it. A compilation of her cackling; word salads and baffling axioms should destroy what's left. New delegates are possible, iirc.

But weird is the order of the day. Chaos is lurking behind a house of cards.
What if Trump 'up and dies'? Not a shocking possibility at his age and size and diet.Plus stress, i'd imagine. A stroke?
The repubs have all their eggs in this "cult of personality" basket.
