Well, today might have been the first stereotypically Autumn day of the year. Cold morning, warm day.

You really do get it early, we're still 20 degrees overnight.

Teach me to talk too soon - that weather pattern obviously reached her last night. Only 13 degrees at 5 am.

Nor'easter winter storm due here starting tonight on into tomorrow evening.

5-8 inches of snow with wind gusts up to 50 mph.

Some nearby areas could expect 10-20 inches of snow.

I think I may take the day off. A forty mile commute in that stuff doesn't sound appealing, and besides, the authorities are asking people to stay home unless it's absolutely necessary.

Be a good day to play with our old dog and the new rescue we picked up last Wednesday (Sweethearts, both of them).

we're expecting two nites of cold, like 20F tonight and tomorrow. it will be painful, especially for trees. it really sets them back when they lose their buds. some don't survive.

Always good to be able to say you got 8 inches last night.

I think a day off is well and truly called for. If we ever get temperatures anywhere near zero - let alone 10 below - I''d be staying home, too.

The BOM has confirmed that our triple La Nina is over.

There is a 50/50 chance of a El Nino. If that happens, look for another bushfire season to rival 2019/20.

I'll be keeping an eye on global temperatures, too.

A strong El Nino is likely to drive some horrendous numbers.

On the current weather situation, it looks like North Q is set up for a cyclone hit towards the end of next week.

Took the day off.

Sitting here at my table with coffee, 9:00 a.m., looking out the window at about four inches of snow; as it continues to fall, and will likely do so on into the night.

Went outside with our latest rescue pup, and she was like, "What's this shit? Let's go back inside". The other one was more, "Awesome! Let's head for the woods!".

The missus is creating something in a crockpot.

For me, it's a good day to read the latest book I got from the library.

Cheers!
