What should be troubling to us all is how easily we can be subverted.
We've trained ourselves to see affirmations and justification in the path we've taken.
It helps to focus on the warts of others in the quest for personal beauty.

Look at me and TA, about to sling degrading insults over the vaccine booster.
Like we're in opposing armies now. Enemies. It's fairly absurd, being as we're all basically 99% in agreement about everything.

a debate with mudslinging is fine.
but it won't be much fun until we catch up with the news...and hear from those who were censored early on...and have transparency with the drug companies.

Why does the CDC recommend the new booster for healthy babies, less than one year old?
What kind of money does this new territory add up to?
What donations went to what politician when, and why can't we get Canada's prices in the U.S.?

Does nothing stink about this? Without any Alex Jones flavor??
How long before we're allowed to officially acknowledge the obvious source of the virus?
And the ones likely to follow?

How to break the corrupting alliance of science, politics and money?
Remove the profit motive from health?

Face it, we only know what we learn from reading or hearing what we choose to hone in on. There is no 'factual' data. No trustworthy news sites.
What there IS is deliberate effort to silence dissenting views. That's what caught my eye...information not forthcoming; collusion of government and social media to shape the outflow of data. Any negative report, squelched. Cheer-leading the vaccine and demonizing the doubters became policy.
Not science.

The actual science that piqued my curiosity was from virologists. To them, the lab leak hypothesis was obvious and even left its 'markers' in the virus...a type that was being studied and manipulated at that Wuhan lab for the twin purposes of salvation and destruction.
That's another can of worms...bio-weapons.
Officially banned. By good countries, like us.
But bad countries may try to use them. So we have to know what they would likely be and create vaccines and antidotes.

We're coming full into El Nino here now, and there's one thing I've noticed as a difference between El Nino and La Nina.

During La Nina, as we had from 2019-2022, rainfall is pretty much steady and constant. During El Nino, rainfall is sudden and catastrophic. There are more thunderstorms during El Nino years, but there are more days of constant rain during La Nina. La Nina brings floods, but El Nino's weather is more directly damaging - lightning, hail, and high winds. Of course, this also means more fires because it's generally drier, and lightning and wind make them worse.

We're about to get a major thunderstorm system though here in the next couple of days. It's going to be fun.

By the way, the scientists who developed the mRNA vaccine technology to combat COVID-19 have just won the Nobel Prize for Medicine.

Scientists whose work enabled mRNA Covid vaccine win medicine Nobel prize
Katalin Karikó and Drew Weissman share £823,000 prize announced by Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm

The obvious source being a zoonotic spillover, like HIV, MERS, SARS, influenza, and a heap of other diseases.

Bullshit. Scientific data is released by scientists and published in medical journals. What media does is irrelevant.

It's a conspiracy man!

Pity you got banned from ISF, because actual virologists post there and not the guys you read about on conspiracy sites. Their view is that it's a natural spillover event, and have data that precludes the lab leak nonsense, but I doubt you'd understand it, or even care. If it doesn't fit your narrative, you don't want to know.

Bloody good show.

Give it a decade and the same mRNA technology will bring vaccines for cancer.

The work they've done may turn out to be as important as Fleming's.

TA, in the last sentence of your reply to me, you summed it up nicely.

It's ironic that you disallow any corruption in the sacred institutions that bring you the "facts" in medical journals. There is always pollution from economic interests. There's no research money for non-patentable medicines, for instance. Hence, the journals always have that "flavor". The science has that flavor.
Oddly, in the case of the covid vaccine, there has been some exceptional stalling in the data release by the pharmas. The lure of this potential bonanza is too much to resist. End result? Take the vaccine. Even if you don't need it. Because why? To slow the spread? To spare granny? All of that has crumbled.

Vaccines could become the new Prozac. Pity, too. While we're distracted, we tend to ignore our health. Nutrition is largely ignored by western medical science, for instance. No money in it. Various plants, fungi, vitamins, etc are left to the realm of the massively corrupt, multi billion dollar supplement companies. Our food sucks. People don't know what to eat. We can't agree on what we do know. Considerations for the micro biome are in their infancy.

The background is flavored towards selling product.
This particular vaccine and the way it's being handled is particularly shitty. That needs to be said, to differentiate between other vaccines.
This one has added greed.
