in unrelated news,
i've been working on a magnet "toy" for my grand kids, hiding the magnets in wood yet near enough to the surface to display effect. Last nite i thought maybe clear pvc would be cool, with the magnet visible within...so i look at pvc prices. Check this out:https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item. ... &catid=592

a 6" cap is over $500! wtf? it's all pvc; schedule 40 fer phux sake. (that's the thinner walled stuff.)

won't be using that stuff. prolly stumble upon the ideal container in a junk yard. Copper and aluminum fittings and pipe are high as kites as well.
anyway, i had to look into it. Learned some stuff about pvc production.
