The mainstream stuff i've seen today is unified in the 'virtually tied' scenario, though the error % could give one of them a decisive victory. And then all hell breaks lose. I still think it will be undecided. Trump's dirty tricks are well rehearsed. There's some unresolved legitimacy issue with the state reps that the SCOTUS will need to weigh in on.

I get a strong feeling that neither of them wants to win. How could they?
J.D. Vance probably wants it. If Trump wins, it's easy to imagine him quitting.
I might sit it out. KY is for Trump. It doesn't know why. My vote is pointless.

Or....maybe not.

Oh, well. Maybe next time.

I was hoping that at least Kamala would win the popular vote, but that doesn't look very likely, either.

I wonder if he'll be sentenced to jail between now and January 20? Will John Roberts adminster the oath at his prison cell and then he can pardon himself?

I keep telling myself that everything will probably be ok.

Probably.

If any of you guys are wondering about exploring somewhere outside the US and maybe aren't ready for too big of a leap... Mexico is right next door, this is a very beautiful colonial city where English will be somewhat widely spoken and is very close to an international airport:

Not far away is the city of San Miguel de Allende, also beautiful and with a huge gringo ex-pat population.

My wife was asking about Ireland already this morning. (I have dual citizenship.)

I think that's an overreaction.......but I might renew my Irish passport, just in case. It expired some years back.

I'm genuinely shocked. I'm even more shocked that she lost the popular vote.

I couldn't imagine a country where you could run the most-racist, most-misogynist campaign ever devised and still win.

On the flip side, sharemarkets have gone ballistic at Trump's win, so I'll take the money.

Sad fucking day for America, and probably the world.

Accurate is right, not all that funny.

What's funny will be Trump's Cabinet. I expect him to have a 10-foot high stack of executive orders on his desk and a supply of Sharpies right from day 1.
