Temperature around 42°(5.5°) today. Feels spring-like after the past two days.

That mountain is about 300 km north of me.

It warmed up fast here, too.
Me thinks it's these abrupt changes that challenge the fauna and flora so much.

The abruptness and the extreme range will both be working against critters.

They don't have the ability to throw a coat on. It'd be interesting to know what the death rate of animals is in weather like that.
