uh... think you left something out in your quote ^^^ lol
Sargent: I think a lot of people believe that we know everything there is to know about Trump and January 6. But that’s really not true.
bolding mine.
I think it's covered in the "correction" that I mentioned.

I certainly do not know everything there is to know about Trump and January 6. However, the question is whehter there is anything important hidden in the things that I, and the rest of the country, don't know.

We'll find out. I have expressed my reasons why I don't think it will be important.

My prediction is that when the brief finally gets filed, Fox News will say,

"Jack Smith Tries to Circumvent Supreme Court Ruling on Presidential Immunity".

ABC News will say, "New Evidence Deepens Donald Trump's Legal Problems"

and the New Republic will say

"Bombshell Evidence Proves Trump Conspired to Overthrow US Government."

How is it we don't know that? Everything he says and does constantly verifies his intent. How much more obvious does it need to get? Somewhere along the line, it was decided to lay off Trump; that it would upset too many people; cause violence; etc. The phone call to Georgia should have been plenty, by itself. As should have the official documents he took to Maralargo and wouldn't return. And so many other moments. Absurd lengths have been gone to in the effort to not bust his ass. No way there will suddenly be the will to take him down. He never should have been anywhere near high office. He's above the law. If Diddy isn't as well, it's only because he's a darkie. Plus, i think he's only got one billion. It takes 3 for full immunity. Word on the street.

The democracy that the media tells us is threatened by Trump was gone before he appeared. It's a ruse that helps us not even notice the systematic whittling away at our power; the extraction of money and the way it flows; the saber rattling reminders of why we need more archaic torture devices (defense) as the source of all good things is slowly put to death.

Accountability is something we pretend to want.
We're all thieves, so no one actually wants justice.
Trump in the big white house would be redundant at this point.

Well, I'll watch and learn. One thing these guys got right during their interview....

He's right. For example, me. I'll make one correction. I think I know everything important to know about Trump and January 6. I don't know everything I could know, but I think I know everything important.

Just thought it was funny somebody in a thread about misleading things would edit a quote in this way:
Sargent: I think a lot of people believe that we know everything there is to know about Trump and January 6.

That aside, why give a shit imagining media outlets misrepresenting things? Really seems pointless to me.

What matters is what actually happens in the courts.

No more pointless than everything else we do here, right? It's a hobby.

However, to the extent that there's a point to anything we do here, the point is that I am making a prediction, so that when something happens I get to say "See I told you so." when it happens. To rephrase my preiction, I predict that when the contents are revealed, there will be nothing new of any real importance in the newly released material, but partisan media will try to spin it into something of great significance.

"I get to say "See I told you so." "

Keep in mind MM that if it doesn't turn out as you predict, you get to eat crow.

I personally have no skin in this game. I'm just sayin'.

The consolation prize is that the only way I can be wrong is if Trump is actually damaged by the revelations. I'll gladly eat crow in that case.

I appreciate MM's blunt analysis of the rewards of this 'hobby', and sparky's defining the punishment.
In my own analysis of the 'meat' of speech, I see two main themes. One, "Look at me, Mommy!" and the other, "You should be like me."

Meanwhile, Jimmy C is 100 today and Iran just lobbed 100+ missiles at Israel.
I predict Jimmy will die soon.

All interesting conclusions arrived at no doubt with your usual emotional detachment and superior critical thinking skills. Razor sharp as always stank!

Well, ABC is calling it a "bombshell".....but no details yet. It's a "developing story".

"Bombshell filing includes new allegations of Trump's efforts to overturn election"

I'm sticking with my prediction.

If you're worried parts of the media are just going to misrepresent this... why are you waiting for them to report on it?
