the carving you gave me sits proudly on my shelf, surrounded by fairly odd objects. It's the most odd. I've never considered taking him out of his jar cover until now. He would certainly be a star in any of the dioramas i make when i'm not thinking. Today, fer instance, while eating, i casually hooked dinosaur heads through 's' hooks, in a long chain, hanging from the bottom of the magnet shelf. It likely will be gone tomorrow. The shelf and lots of stuff are in reach of my throne. I can barely resist messing with it.
religion thread nod:
i have an imaginary friend i call 'the universe' or sometimes, 'mr. universe'. there's almost never people around, so i talk out-loud to him. responses are immediate and internal, always much more concise and intelligent than me. no image goes with it. no face, certainly
It's been fun in the way it brings out my relentless inner dialog in a way that exposes me, which in turn, brings out clever retorts.
The FL is sometimes entertained by an invisible egg that sits on my left hand. Sounds like he´s from New Jersey, funny, crude, refers to me as ¨the moron¨.

Vatican II didn't really work out very well for the Catholic Church. Liberalisation in general didn't work out well.
And then came gay rights. Most people thought it was a good idea, but it didn't work well with a church who said that sex was mostly sinful, but maybe ok as long as one man and one woman (using traditional definitions of those words) did it to have kids and didn't enjoy it too much. Oh, and they had to first have a celibate guy bless it.....because that makes sense.
And then it turned out that the celibate guy was celibate, but not chaste. Ane he was gay most of the time.
So, most people are leaving, and the ones who are staying are saying that the whole place is going to Hell in a handbasket and we have to get back to the days of Pius XII.

I just got back from Greece, which made me think about polytheism.
What if you only have one goat to sacrifice? How do you decide which god?
And what's so special about centaurs that the Athenians used an awful lot of temple space to carve them?
