Yeah but this happened too:

One dead after Tesla Cybertruck catches fire outside Trump hotel in Las Vegas
One person died and seven more were injured on Wednesday when a Tesla truck caught fire and exploded outside Donald Trump’s Las Vegas hotel, authorities said.

Las Vegas metropolitan police and Clark county fire department officials in Nevada said at a news conference that a person died inside the vehicle and that they were working to get the body out.

Another seven people nearby received minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Elon Musk, the tech industry leader who owns Tesla, posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter before he bought it, saying that “the whole Tesla senior team” was investigating what happened.

He said the team would “post more information as soon as we learn anything”, adding that “we’ve never seen anything like this.” His remarks included another post referring to a “detonation” when the car exploded.

Seems we are starting the new year with a bang.

How could an Elon Muskmobile possibly catch fire? There's a real head scratcher! Thank Sky Daddy he's got the whole team looking for some other problem that has nothing to do with the fact that those fucking batteries have a habit of overheating and then catching fire...

It was a suicide.

I'm waiting for the day one catches fire on Auckland's Harbour Bridge - a massive bottleneck across in a city split 60/40 by an isthmus 500m wide at its narrowest point. The bridge would be put out of action for possible eternity.

US Army veteran, apparently who joined ISIS just recently.

The driving cars into people seems to be catching on - we had a cop killed on New Year's Eve by a pissed-off piece of shit deliberately running her over.

Sad fucking species.

The only thing you need to do in order to "join" ISIS is to say you've joined ISIS, and optionally, get your hands on a flag.

It was a suicide.
Did I miss that in the story you linked to or ... what? Seems clear he was trying to blow something and/or someone up but suicide implies he was the only one he wanted to kill. Now, if we want to call it a suicide bombing, then I'd say that fits the facts better. But unless he left a note I rather doubt we'll ever know what was in his mind except fireworks and propane canister bits.
