Out of the hospital, great staff, a fairly hot nurse, tea and crackers a couple times, not a bad lunch today.
That plus spinal anesthesia, four person surgical team including the urological surgeon, much nurse attention, IVs, antibiotics, pain meds, not to mention the use of all the facilities and 24 hours in a hospital bed.

Tourist/Medical 'vacations' are gaining popularity.
You can stay at a beach resort in Costa Rica while recovering from various ectomies and they arrange it all...for much less than here. Competency reports are encouraging.

This ain't medical tourism, this is life.
It's largely that Bolivia is starving for economic stability, especially right fucking now. The USD is seen to promise that. Black market rate for nice blue $100 bills can be 70% higher than the official rate. I've been asked a couple times if there is also a shortage of dollars up there (in the US).
We are here at the right time to get crazy deals.
