beautiful song, Prez. and an oddly unknown album.
big day here. with a hired hand and crazy neighbor, we took down the big white ash that almost touched our shack for 33 years. It was right there. You could touch it. It was dead (from the emerald ash borer) and had to come down. Neighbor has ropes and knowledge, hired hand has good ears and lack of fear. There was a lot of stuff this tree could have trashed, but they had long ropes. One was high in the tree; other end tied to truck. Second rope was slid up the first to desired height, other end tied to second truck. This was the vector pull. Tension applied; then chainsaw on the roof and down it came. Nobody killed.
Now we have to turn it into firewood and move that to the shed. Pretty sure i'm too old for this. Kinda wish we'd recorded it. Colorful stuff.
