stanky's most recent science research

Post by stanky »

After some slander by TA, i thought i should share my most recent scientific endeavor, which has been extremely strange, and involves magnetic induction. To that end, i've built several of the devices being used in the youtube, which Mary and I made in haste with a shitty camera and no script. Not my strong suit, for sure. Still, there is data conveyed. The mumbling is me. The dark spot below the glass is where i'm holding a magnet. Enjoy, science fans:

Is that a representation of people leaving the US?

There's 2 types leaving: fed up social democrats and celebrities that were caught at Diddy's party.

alas, the b-b's represent a slice of a 3d magnetic field. They're drawn hard to the magnet initially, then, repelled or held back. If removed gradually, the magnet will leave its influence and hold several lbs of b-b's on a steep hill, overnight. The magnet gives without losing anything. It remains a poorly understood phenomena. You'd think magnetism itself would have spread everywhere by now.

The shapes in the spaces is an extra i hadn't anticipated. If it's a well known phenomena, i couldn't find any examples.

Lots more experiments here. Most, in regard to insects and arachnids. I understand the method and have since childhood. We don't jump to conclusions with scant data, as has occurred here recently regarding stanky.

and a follow up youtube, also hurried and sloppy, showing a strange role reversal between magnet and steel bowl:

The need to publish is hurting scientific research and innovation. Sabine has some details:

"Sky hooks" were the first science toy for me. I recently banged out a few crude ones; made this 1 min youtube:

Hey stanky... hmmm, tried to post a photo, got this:
Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.
I´m sure there must be a scientific explanation.

I recall the limit at JREF/ISF was only about half a dozen photos. I'll see if I can increase it.

I've tripled the quota, so that will hopefully work.
