Americans must pay U.S. taxes on foreign income. The U.S. is one of only two countries in the world where taxes are based on citizenship, not place of residency. If you’re considered a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident, you pay income tax regardless where the income was earned.

Missouri GOP lawmaker invokes Trump in bill to allow felons to run for office...
If you got lemons, make lemonade.“Having conversations now, when I bring up the topic, a lot of them are squeamish about the idea of having felons in office, but then, if they’re Republican, I remind them that they probably voted for one,” Davis said.

Although the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion will protect an awful lot of people from being taxed. I don't know the exact details, but I think it basically means that if you are an American citizen living abroad, the first 126,000 dollars of income is not taxed by the US. Since it is called the "earned" income credit, I don't know if it applies to investment income or interest.President Bush wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 4:10 pmsparks, did you know this?sparks wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 4:12 am Umerca: Compulsory participation. Thanks for those, mate - I agree with pretty much every word in both the video and articles, and it's not like it's even difficult to comprehend.
We could fix all of the problems in the world in a heartbeat if people would take the logical choice, and why we've gone backwards on that I can\t begin to comprehend.
I know how it all happened, but not why.
Age imparting wisdom used to be what we thought, but it's actually age imparting stupidity, selfishness and bigotry. We've allowed people to live much longer, which has led to an unhealthy combination of wealth and bigotry - the longer you live, the more money you accumulate, and for a majority of people, the more stupidity you accumulate.
The disturbing part is everyone who speaks the truth - from your boy Adam Conover, to the pastor, to ProPublica,to Mother Jones and NPR - relies on and asks for donations. Fox News and the Daily Fail don't ask for donations or have subscriber-only articles. That's because people who go to those sites buy shit off their ads.
It's the third decade of the fucking 21st century for fuxake and we have Trump being made president at the exact some time that Russia is attacking a neighbour and Israel is committing genocide.
I've started calling it The Age of Unreason - it seems to me the human species is determined to resort to a new Dark Age, and nothing is going to stop it. Sagan nailed it and now we're living it.
