It's a gut punch.
With congress and scotus, and his age and lame duckness, D.T. could give us d.t.'s.

The dems had it coming. Not that this is a reasonable replacement. It blows.
But as Mary reminded me of the spark any underground movements or music/art scene gets from an oppressive government.

Of all the people to hand ultimate power to...Holy shit.

hypnotic spell...that's the only logical explanation for this illogical moment in history.
He's kinda like 'the worst person we could find' to guide policy.
It's corny.

Actually, I have. Been there once for 3 weeks. You'll never meet nicer, more courteous people. Largely a question of initial dollars and language. I'd love to be able to do it, but if I could, why not some place in Mexico?

Faux News talking head as Secretary of Defense. Jesus Christ. Mango is getting right with his program of draining the swamp, eh?

If you can make it to Mexico, Oaxaca city is outstanding, too... the food, Mayan archeological sites, UNESCO status, colonial architecture, plus the Pacific beaches in Oaxaca state are beautiful.

Far as us... got back two weeks ago today. Have gotten the PSA checked twice and both times it came up undetectable, zero residual cancer. Blood tests in Sucre were screwball I guess but just as well we´re here, had the double inguinal hernia surgery day before yesterday, right side had gotten bad. Great to get this all out of the way.

That is great to hear! Really.

Had a very good friend who was sort of a surrogate big brother who stood in for my own who died of cancer (kidney) some 30 years ago now. My dear friend fought just what you were looking at. He lost several years ago. The cancer had attached to his bones. Ugly just bloody ugly. I think about Chris every day. One doesn't make very many really good friends in this life. I was most fortunate to have him in my life.

Now, if we could just do something about this Mango sonofabitch! :)

Hope you can find a way to escape all this, sparks, at least for a while. Quality of life can be much better than it is here.

Thanks for the good thoughts.
