Those are interesting points and I love the irony of science being able to pull off the miracle of the so called virgin birth without supernatural intervention.

But why bother with these notions? Jeebus and his unusual entry into this world is a fucking myth. There is no reason to bandy it about whatsoever. And the bullshit regarding his dying on a cross in our stead for the forgiveness of our sins is just obscene.

But if some group wishes to mark an occasion of religiosity with colorful costumes, parades and dancing by lovely young women I'm all for it.

If atheists were more organized, we'd get to wear outlandish hats, at least.

And not even original! It''s plain stolen from earlier myths.

It clearly says something about men that their gods have to be born from virgins. Oedipus complex to it's final destination?

I laugh at christians who spout that shit - he was only dead for 2 fucking days. If I got the choice to die for two days to swap that for another few hundred I'd be in.

Top man, Pres!

Those skirts would grab my attention any time, but being worn by those girls gets double the attention.

Mental note: some Bolivian women are hot af.

I even love the colour. Coming from a place where the national colour is black, every car is white or grey and every house white or brown, we just don't see that kind of spectacle. Beautiful.

Very cool place, paid a cab $20 USD equivalent to drive us, about 40 minutes outside Sucre. FL was terrified to climb the towers but I couldn't resist.

Conquistador aesthetic.

Bridge dates from the late 1800s, named for Antonio José de Sucre, a hero of the independence of South America and considered one of the liberators of Bolivia.
He was awarded the title of "Grand Marshal of Ayacucho" by the Peruvian Congress in 1824, after commanding the United Liberation Army , granting victory in the Battle of Ayacucho by defeating the last Spanish viceroy in America . In 1821, he carried out diplomatic activities that allowed the formation of the Liberation Army of Southern Colombia, which Simón Bolívar gave him the responsibility of commanding, receiving the title of general in chief, a task he carried out by defeating the royalist army with the help of the army of the Free Province of Guayaquil at the Battle of Pichincha , where he obtained the rank of general. The capital of Bolivia was named Sucre in his honor.
