Re: South American way
That's the FL enjoying her almuerzo ejecutivo or executive lunch. Find them everywhere, Colombia has no lack of excellent home cooking.
Homemade soup of the day called sancocho here, usually has some kind of root vegetables, rice and beans, small salad, slice of avocado, fried banana, nice homemade chorizo or some other meat, an arepa (corn bread), small jar of orange lemonade. Used to call this kind of thing the Blue Plate special in the US, comida corrida in Mexico. Depending on the place the almuerzo ejecutivo will run you 14,000 to 20,000 Colombian pesos. There's just under 4000 COP to the USD now.
Colombia is a total gas, sparks.

How's this for a bus? Got to ride on the passenger door up front with the driver, superior sound system blasting whacked-out electronic cumbia. Everybody called it a chiva (goat).

Great looking rig. Chevy? And ya just gotta love they way they paint stuff there! So damned cheerful. Not to be a downer, but how's the political situation? (Good and stable I hope)
