I'd say we're going backwards, in regard to the health of the bio-sphere. And ultimately, that's what will matter most. Small gains are almost p.r. stunts...entertainment, while the old school runs roughshod over the planet, for the same old reasons, burning the same old fuel. EV's is a fine example...
