Re: Pssst! Wheres the Joe Biden thread?
Biden is an empty suit. He is more of the same; basically identical to Trump's policies; pawn of corporate power. He's a famous liar, like Trump, and has no intention of fulfilling any campaign promises...same like all of them. His election was a dark day for America. Not because he beat Trump; beca...

Re: guns 2
Marjorie Taylor Green is on the Homeland Security committee, and she's said, publicly, that had she been in charge, she'd have brought guns to Jan 6 attack. Change is in the air. Wrong kind, imho.

Re: Religion, of course
funny that at the end of that story, it was mentioned that there was nothing suspicious about his death, even though it wasn't declared a suicide.
No, Di...you aren't a bad person for thinking those thoughts.
Unless the victims were lying and the doc was a saint of a fella.

Re: NZ: Mission accomplished?
I remember when NZ was the great white hope of the world.
These days, there doesn't seem to be one. Not even the fantasy.
It's like I woke up from a nap, and the dystopian future was here.
Everywhere.

nature boys part two
Sorry to say that my nature stories are mostly depressing. Like, I can tell you about various plants and animals I don't see anymore. One of the species on the way out, is our white ash trees. The emerald ash borer is wiping them out, all over the U.S. and into Canada. On my land, there are hundreds...

Re: life's little aggravations
They are! They use the same weapons-grade plastic to package them. That's why you always buy a new one just before the old one wears out, so its last gasp is to re-birth itself. The first one I ever bought didn't need no stinking plastic. A friend recently told me that he bought a tool he needed to...

Re: The Drowning Thread
is any of it possibly disguised suicidal tendency? lately, i wonder if an optimal life is the one that has enough adventure to kill you before you need suffer the humiliation of oldness. I could see swimming out, in dangerous waters, as a final adventure with a worthy ending. Dignified, even. (Compa...

Re: is rock and roll really dead this time?
There's a lot of young guitar players that make a stir. Here's one of the best I've heard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foiasZnTdSM&ab_channel=LeviClay At 15 years old, he's got some future. I am reminded of when I first heard/saw Shawn Lane. He was playing lead for Black Oak Arkansas and wa...

life's little aggravations
i'll go first:
Packaging.
Why is packaging so great that you need power tools to open an envelope?
The stuff inside isn't too great, but we really know how to wrap it.
I wrestle with it almost daily. It causes me to use bad language.
