Re: Planet America
Here's another one that makes my ears go up and wonder what's being left out. I'm amazed by meaningless statements and condescending messages from school officials. There's a tone of the messages that drives me crazy. However, on with the story. Our story so far: Pennbrook Middle School, North Wales...

Re: Headlines that signal that the story will be misleading and/or stupid
I've never heard anyone use either term. (But i don't get out much) Yeah, if you haven't heard about the Right's war on Woke by now, how's life in that cave deep in the woods? :D I rarely hear "wike" out among real people off of the internet, but I have heard it. Usually by loudmouths who...

Re: Planet America
you put words in his mouth there. unless i missed something. I don't think so. I mean, if there was a politically charged analysis about kids smoking, and something didn't add up to me, I would investigate it. good to know. (I never encounter any of this stuff, other than the internet. as far as i ...

Re: Headlines that signal that the story will be misleading and/or stupid
Hardly surprising. Yes, "cis" is being used as a slur, like "woke" has become. I've never seen "cis" as a slur. I've seen people who are offended at being called "cis", but that's not the same thing. "Woke" is a slur. ETA: "Woke" is a dero...

Re: Headlines that signal that the story will be misleading and/or stupid
Today's headline: What Does “Cis” Mean, And Is It Bad? This one is a bit topic specific. The words of the headline don't automatically scream "stupid!" Nevertheless, I sense some stupid coming. Ok, presumably they are talking about "cisgender" as opposed to "cisalpine"....

Re: Planet America
Why do you care? The same reason any of us do. Like, say, you. Why do you think you care? We're interested in something about a story, and we want our version to be acknowledged as the correct one More specifically, on this specific story, I often take an interest in any story that I see where the ...

Re: Planet America
Oh yeah. I read that article. He (Seth Sorenson) was lying. Oh, well that settles that then. What settles it is the evidence that can be found on the internet. After I read the article you posted, and another one from the same day, I posted my previous posts that said something very weird wa...

Re: Headlines that signal that the story will be misleading and/or stupid
Not one specific headline, but rather, anything with "expert" in the headline.
I saw three articles in a row today that sais what experts say. Oddly enough, the experts said things that agreed with the bias of the author. "Experts say I am always right."
