Making America Great Again!

You aren't cynical.

You just don't have grand kids.

Cynical is the re-branding of CH4 (methane) as "Freedom Gas".

(I wish i was making this up, as part of a comedy bit.)

Yeah, but they are the ones who will be facing the shit it causes.

This is why very few people over 50 give any fucks about it.

Lucky the ozone hole is only over our end of the world.

If it were over Washington DC, USA would be lining up nukes.

The link above, and many others like it, make me wonder why so many pro-nuke power people tend to down play the dangers.
We were very sloppy with the waste products in the past, and we've been very slow to remedy the situation.
These contaminants are a gift that can go on 'giving' for millennia, in some cases.

A little bit of foresight and not allowing corners to be cut would solve that problem right away.

I don't think anyone plays down the dangers now, but they're just as likely to form short-term solutions rather than spend a shitload of money getting it right first time.

An eye-opener regarding the history of corporate greed and arrogance in the past, is to look at a list of our super-fund sites. There's hundreds of them. Most of them are ignored, for lack of funding.

Even now, independent of way noxious chemicals, we have the issue of too much CO2 in the air....something we've known about for decades.
What is being done about it?

An administration that denies science.

Hold that thought.  But you can't cure it,  you have to master the art of using it to lead them in the right direction.
You can't push them.
