Julian Assange - First Class Fuckwit
#41
Quite possibly so.

But i'd suggest we need some reference points for the moniker of 'epic cunt'.

Wikileaks, at least initially, was a great and seriously needed tool.
He deserves a few points of slack in that regard.

I doubt if he's amazed a personal fortune in the meantime. He's basically been a prisoner for 7 years; only now changed due to the stunning right wing shift in Central and South America.

My concern regarding minor cunts is that we lose sight of the mega-cunts.
And worse...that needed journalistic efforts, however flawed they might be, like wikileaks, will be censored or snuffed from existence.

Mary just read a short list of the huge corporations, that thanks to Trump's policies, have paid zero taxes this year. It's a who's who of the biggest players in fossil fuels and weapons.

The kindly Halliburton corporation was one of them. Unabashed war profiteers.
So, while the minor cunt, Assange, takes the spotlight, Dick Cheney remains beyond reproach.

The ample subsidies our socialist right wing government gives to big oil; paid for by taxes, go straight to their profits.
Lesser subsidies for more appropriate technologies are under the microscope.

Relativity must enter the equation.

Daniel Ellsberg, famous whistle blower of old; releaser of the pentagon papers, spoke today on the Real News network, regarding the implications of Assange's arrest.

This should go beyond issues we might have about Julian's personality.
Ellsberg ties this into Chelsea Manning's situation. She is presently back in prison.

This is a unique turn in first amendment rights and freedom of the press.

Trump has expressed that he considers the press to be the enemy of the people.

This should give us a chill.
Coupled with the ever growing surveillance state and censorship in all media, this is not a victorious moment for free speech.

Comments were interesting too. If Assange makes it to the US, Trump will not pardon him.

What a massive cock-gobbler is our POTUS.

He could do life.

Strange that Trump use to gush about wikileaks. It's not hard to find links of him doing just that; many times.
Today, he pretended to know nothing about wikileaks.

His unabashed lying is a strange phenomena. I've never seen it before.
I've seen plenty of dishonest politicians, lying through their teeth when they had to, but Trump does it almost for the hell of it...as if he's trying to dilute the very purpose of speaking to convey information that is useful in some way.

He's making honesty obsolete; dishonesty fashionable.

What a weirdo.

I dunno. If I stack him up against an epic cunt like trump or Robert Mercer, I find it hard to put him as less o a cunts than them. They're evil, but they aren't fucking hypocrites.

Unfortunately, I can't put Assange anywhere but right down at the bottom of the pit, funnily enough with another Aussie bloke: Peter Garrett.

I don't know why, but like I said earlier, lefties selling out really gets on my tits.

It was, and there's no greater supporter than me. I investigated NZ links for them, wrote articles for them, assessed mountains of documents for them. In fact, I'm pretty sure under NZ's laws, I became a criminal for them.

I'll agree he didn't do it for the money. He was always about the glory and the pussy it brought to his door. Somewhat ironic it was pussy being his downfall.

He's a sick, twisted, deranged and unbalanced mind who just happened to get elected.

Was Peter Garret the musician in Midnight Oil?
Shame if he became a cunt. I really liked that song "Beds are burning".

Evidently, it's hard not to become a cunt if your famous.
Unless you die young.

Frank Sinatra became a cunt. Elvis became a cunt. Prince and MJ died, but I could easily imagine them both becoming old cunts. Too big for their britches.

Imagine what a cunt Kurt Cobain would be by now, had he not blown his brains out.

Even Jesus, so cool and buff and interesting, had the sense to bail at 33.

Christ, imagine him in his 70's, at some hole in the wall bar, in the day time...telling the aging beauty bartender how he could walk on water in his younger days. That would be too sad to bear.

(hopefully, that didn't smack of blasphemy. I've always hated blasphemy.)

That's the guy. He was years ahead of his time on environmental issues, and rocked the fuck out of everything with some really superior music. He covered it all, then sold out for a Parliamentary seat and Cabinet job that he screwed up royally.

Not always. Ry Cooder is still awesome, and so's Stevie Wonder. George Foreman is way beyond awesome, and he's positively ancient.
