We get into trouble when we think of probability waves within energetic fields, as particles.

But we mostly lack new metaphors to comprehend this baffling emerging new reality.

We like particles.

We can picture them...like in a billiards game.

But that metaphor leaves us short of real comprehension.

Much as like when I was a sciency kid, and the solar system and atomic orbits were seen as compatible metaphors.
And later on, we found out, "No".

Digging deeper is unpleasant to some.

It is all so untidy and inconclusive.

We do have the chance to rejoice in this.

And wallow in the non-denominational aspect of the underlying mystery.

(and to reject stupid exploitation of that, within the woo gang.)

Of which I am not a member.

bigly.

That's because you have the personality of a wave and a particle, luv.

Never change, sugar-pie.

We are never sure whether or not you post until we observe.

And by observing, we alter the post...
You can lead 'em to knowledge, but you can't make 'em think.

Got that bloody right!!!

Especially when it's about politics, something happens to the meaning between the screen, the eyeballs and the comprehension circuitry of the reader that has been known to 'alter' the intent of the post radically!  [Image: yellow-laughing-smiley-emoticon.gif]

But it's okay, no misunderstanding, no arguments, no 'fun'.  right?WinkCool

I think I've left my run to late too change much more than my mind at this stage darliin'.

So am I a waving particle or a 'particular' wave now?

Yours in confusion, honey,

Some would say you're both wave-functions which can manifest as particles.

I say: Get a room. With a particle accelerator in lieu of a bed with 'Magic Fingers'. Smile

Well, 'particle accelerator' is a novel term for it, you're getting very creative there Sparky! [Image: yellow-laughing-smiley-emoticon.gif]
