un-cut dicks
#1
so,

circumcised penises are so common in modernity, that I never saw an un-cut one until i worked in a hospital.

There is something wrong with dicks, evidently.
The need to augment them, surgically, is perhaps the most glaring example of lack of faith in design.

(Female genital manipulation is far nastier and less common, thank fuck)

But what is up with this?

And why is it something we (mostly) don't wan't to address?

I'm cut, btw...as are all the guys I know well.
Both my kids are female, so I wasn't faced with the circumcision issue.

But it's an odd thing, isn't it?

wtf is up with it?

Medical science/hygeine was the only reason I heard of. Sounded legit especially back when washing wasn't considered necessary. Hard to quantify the numbers of infectious fatalities avoided by the snip, of both genders.

great link,g-man.

Adam ruins everything in a comedic way.
I love that about him.

I wish I could also be comedic, in my quest to ruin everything.

Maybe I should build something?

Zero is my guess.

And I can't say hygiene was ever advanced in my hearing. The only two reasons I've ever heard for circumcision are "God" and "I don't want him to be different from other boys."

The hygiene business is also utter bullshit.

Unlike the vast decline in sensitivity of the glans after circumcision, which is true.

The male version should be every bit as illegal as the female version.

Dare I ask how you dealt with this?

(Feel free to ignore this, mate.)

I totally respect your privacy and your kids.

Don't be silly, I wouldn't be bothered by privacy.

No cutting around my boys, and my views on it were well enough known beforehand that nobody even asked if they being circumcised.

Circumcision rates in NZ have fallen off a cliff in the last few years and it's virtually nil outside of the Jewish community these days.
