It's pretty simple really, if women could run faster and further than men the species would have died out.   Cool

Gender in sport annoys the fuck out of me.

The NZ Gov't has said it wants women rugby players to be paid the same as men.

50,000,000 people watch the All Blacks on TV and 75,000 pay to see them play.

500 people watch the sheilas on TV and 50 people turn up to watch them.

Fucking bullshit.
Love is... that one person whose freshly-warm toilet seat you don't find disgusting.

that does help explain the existence of Taylor Swift.

Depends on the sport a bit. The women's cricket is getting a fair audience, same with the womens AFL.

But at the risk of being crass and unseemly, Rugby is never a pretty thing to watch regardless of the gender of the players.
Women can play cricket at a fairly high level and with finesse if not with equal bowling power.
They can play AFL at a level that is highly skilled and thus, entertaining.
But they can't match the sheer brute neanderthal boofiness of Rugby Union no matter how fugly they are.
Soooo, point granted.

I do agree too that they should be paid in accordance with their value to either sponsors or to the Nation as Olympians. It all comes down to their price per kilo as drawcards ultimately, so their gender cards are not going to get them too far.
