Anyone watching?

Kiwis having a great day on the water, gold in women's single scull, and the blue riband on the water, the men's 8!

Magnificent performances in both cases.

(I'm not even going to mention how beautiful some of the women are at the games.)
And man, do we need a new national anthem.

When it starts, people look around to see where the funeral is.
Can't say I've ever heard your anthem.
Any bomb references in it?

I attempt to keep up with swimming and gymnastics; sports I can relate to.
Same with track and field. I like to know how fast a human can run, or how high they can jump. Don't much care which country wins.
The most nationalistic I've ever felt was at our county fair; the demolition derby. Lo and behold, there's our old car!
(A Datsun b-210; best car ever.)
Mary and I recognized it immediately. We cheered like idiots.
When it's rear axle fell off, the front wheels continued to drag the car around. We were so proud.
(Of what, not sure. In retrospect, it seems silly. I bought the car for $250; sold it for $50. It's not like I built it.)

I suppose I'm proud of our solar system. But not the galaxy.
Did you know it was named after a candy bar?

Did the car see you two up in the stands?
Indeed it did and if that sweetheart had front wheel drive it had been heavily modified. Smile
