Thank you Di.

That is brilliant. As previously stated, most but not all of the cats I've had the good fortune to be owned by adopted me just as Nala adopted Dean in that video.
Very charming. (I like bikes.)

We're mad at our cat because she's been killing a lot of skinks lately. For fun.

Our garden is a paradise for skinks, as well as birds. We have a rock garden with flax they live in by the hundreds.

Cats get told to fuck off.

Skinks are cool. They come inside every now and then and get ushered gently back into the garden.
yeah, man.

I like skinks. They never give me a bit of trouble. Hate to see the cat killing them.
You likely know that they can drop their tale to escape a predator. They regenerate a stubbier version.
There's a fairly common skink here with an electric blue tale. When they drop it, the tail continues to wiggle, distracting the predator.
Neat trick.
Ours do the same, the little 3 inch ones that live in cracks in the walls. Damn tail wriggles for ages.

It's horrible, it put me right off them when I was little. I wasn't game to touch them in case they'd fall apart in my hand!

The birds gave them a lot of attention which was why there were so many tails laying around. Wonder why the birds didn't take the tails? Probably smart enough to know which end to grab, but you'd think they'd come back for them... now I've got another mystery to ponder.

There was a saying that eating lizards killed cats, nobody seemed to know why and I never heard of it happening.
So why was it taken as a fact? bugger, another thing to puzzle over... who the hell started this stupid thread?!
Garden Pixies of course! Smile
Found you a No Bullshit cat Sparks.

If I had to have a cat I'd pick one of these, they look so badass but all class ... the fur on everything might be a price but they're good to look at with those tails and ears.

I've had several long haired cats and they are high maintenance. My kitteh Molly was a Maine Coon. Six toes on all 4 paws. Weighed in at about 8 pounds but looked like about 20 pounds. But they love you all the more for the extra attention required. Smile BTW, I'd adopt that one in a heart beat.

Figured you would, that's why I posted it.
I too like pets with a bit of sass.  Makes you earn their company. Smile
