And I mean it now.

Six fucking degrees this morning.

Di - I'm moving to your place. Never going below 16 is my new target.
There could be a deal in that, I'm looking for a place that doesn't drop below 25C!

Every year about this time I swear to myself that I'll be in Darwin next winter. siiiigh.

The Kiwi I've been buying Paua shell from on eBay sold up and moved from around Hamilton to a place up the coast a bit here. He was chasing the warm too.

I'd actually take cold rather than 40 deg + 99% humidity. You'd need the aircond on full all the time.

Let me know if you need a new source - plenty of it about.

Haven't bought any for a while, still have a fair supply but will ask for tips if I need any more.
Dunno if old mate is still selling on eBay. He sourced  the deep coloured stuff, fantastic quality, glows like opal!
He said it was deep sea variety?  may have been marketing bullshit I wouldn't know, but it's the best I've seen anywhere.
He sent me a whole polished shell that I treasured and now I have no idea what bloody box it's stored in. siiigh.

Sold a couple of old left over pendants the other day so may go back into biz if I continue to feel up to it.
Come to think of it, the craft 'cave' would be easier to heat than my usual roost in winter. mmmmm.. Smile
The deep paua might be a point, because being in the sun for years could easily affect the shell and hence colour.
Damn...you people are soft!
And you have all those sheep!
Ever try a wool sweater?

(Near zero C this morning. And i live in the south, i guess.)

Soon, anything deviating from 'room temperature' will be seen as unacceptable.
It will soon be hot here. And humid. People will complain about it, of course. As they go from the air-conditioned house to their air conditioned car, on their way to the air conditioned store.

We've come a long way.
Pathetic...and somewhat frightening.
I don't have air conditioning. by choice. I don't need it in summer because I like it hot, and heaters are fine for winter and quieter.

A classic.

By the way, will be between 21C - 26C at Gray Manor this week.

And I am on vacation.

Yippee.
According to the usual site it's 13C 'feels like' 8C here.

I believe the 8 part. Dodgy
